Diane Wittner has a focus on holistic education, arts & creative thinking. Starting with a 2012 class at Maryland Women's Business Center, and inspired by her small yet humming garden sanctuary & volunteer aviary, she invented beneficial, everyday cleaning items using her herbs. In 2015, she launched Echotopia, the region's first refill station & biodiversity-building zero waste business. Although she has a passion for teaching and mentoring young people, after having fun with students, her favorite pedagogical behavior is to simply "be the change". After all, the next generation is always watching. Diane is a loong distance train traveler, naturalist, music maker & movement person. She seeks to glitter in reply to the marvels and still-magical coastlines and waterways of the Chesapeake Bay and Mid-Atlantic watershed, and to her family's New York City Atlantic Ocean places: Rockaway and Brighton Beach.
